I trimmed the locks by a sharp blade and it works perfectly fine. The results have improved significantly with the diffuser.

I've got the diffuser for my Canon Speedlite 270EX. The diffuser is extremly tight and very difficult to install( and I've done it many times with other brands/flashes) but the worst part is when you try to take it off! I was VERY careful and it still managed to damage the plastic of my flash when I attempted to remove it! After it snaps into place you CAN NOT REMOVE it without tools (something to pry it off). If you simply try to pull it off it will badly break the flash before it comes off - just not worth a $10 piece of plastic to damage $160 flash! I'd rather have it loose and try to make it stay on the flash than having it stuck on a rather delicate flash (with no good place for a firm grip) and not beeing able to remove it quickly and safely when I need it to. The diffuser went staight in the trash can.
