Product Description
More about this Items:
Off-Camera Flash Extension Cord is an extremely useful accessory for Canon digital & 35mm film SLR cameras, allowing an external flash to be used away from the camera. The flash can be located as far as 3 feet away from the camera and still perform all the automatic functions possible with flash photography.

Using an off-camera flash provides the photographer with the flexibility to direct light from a variety of angles, allowing simple but effective fill lighting for balancing outdoor shots or hiding shadows under harsh indoor lights. An off-camera flash is also an effective primary light source when less direct lighting is desired.

4 out of 5 stars Off-camera flash cord   July 10, 2010

I purchased this as a replacement to my current cord. This is a much heavier and better built cord than my old one. Hoping this one lasts a little longer than the last one. I like that the locking system seems very secure. It is the same locking mechanism as found on my Canon Speedlite.
I have only used the product once and did have some trouble with misfiring of the flash, however last evening during the shoot I was not using the cord and my camera did suffer a breakdown. So, I am thinking(hoping) that the problem was in the communication with the camera as it may have been beginning to experience issues at the previous shoot. I will post again after I use the cord again and let you know if it was the camera or the cord. Keeping my fingers crossed it was the camera.
