5 out of 5 stars Really Works Well!!!   July 27, 2010

I was skeptical while purchasing this remote if it would work with my Canon EOS 7D camera but then it worked perfectly fine. Addition of a pouch, which could be fixed to the Camera strap, was a pleasant surprise!!! A small hole on it's edge, can work as a keychain holder too!!! The remote works pretty much as a point and shoot!!!Canon EOS 7D 18 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 3-inch LCD and 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens

5 out of 5 stars Great Remote   June 7, 2010

I have a RC-5 for my Rebel XSI, and I wanted to get a remote for my dad for his XSI. After research I chose the RC-6 because you can either take shots insantly or have it wait 4 seconds before shooting. It also came with a small case to put it in, which I love. I am jealous of his, and am going to get rid of mine and order the RC-6. Also, H&D had very fast shipping and was incredibly well packed.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for.   August 2, 2010

I had Been looking for a remote for my Slr for a while, and came across this one new remote from Canon. You get enough distance between the camera and your party. Approx 16 feet. All in all it's a good item and works great.

4 out of 5 stars I'm sure it's a great remote, but...   August 6, 2010

but... Despite being in the name of the product on Amazon, it does NOT work for the Canon EOS XS. I really hope they take that out of the title. Next time I'll read the product description from the manufacturer and not get over excited from the retailer description.

4 out of 5 stars Works as expected on my 7D   September 7, 2010

It works as you would expect. Since it's IR based, dont expect to aim it away from your SLR and have it trigger.

I've been using it for a week with my 7D. It's exactly what I was looking for. Now I can pose for pics with my daugther and not need anyone else to assist. Also, I dont have to do the 10 second dash to pose for pics anymore.

I'm knocking one star for build quality. It feels cheap, which is fine but dont charge 25 for it then. The build quality screams 9.99 to me.
